YARRA GLEN VINEYARD
Meroo Vineyard, also known as Yarra Glen Vineyard in local, is just in the north of the town Yarra Glen. It is close to the culturally sophisticated city of Melbourne, at the centre of the Yarra Valley. The site was part of local historical icon—Gulf station, the first local farm established in 1838. Before vine planting in 1993, it was a significant dairy farm in the region.
As one of the major privately owned vineyards in Yarra Valley, it has premium quality fruits to make beautiful wines. The 80 hectares of land is naturally divided into 12 blocks by creeks with a backdrop of green hills. An iconic winery is being built on the vineyard now and it will contain a winery, a cellar door and a restaurant to entertain visitors from local and abroad.
